got my android TV box the m8s Pro Wdidn't have a table to put anything on so I've got everything on the floorright here so you can see out here here's the box itself
here's my capturedevice for when everything goes on the TV I've got my HDMI cord I've got myremote got my power cord I'm gonna use a wireless mouse though because they're alot better than these basic remotes they come with it so everything looks to beset up and ready to go so I'll go for a first boot so it booted up and now wecan take a look at our home screen here so we've got the m8 s Pro W it's got thetime it's not the right time but we'll fix that it's got our shortcuts menuthat's got a permanent shortcuts menu it's showing if it's on Wi-Fi orEthernet I'm on Ethernet if it's got a USB plugged in or an SD card plugged inonly got the Ethernet plugged in so that's why it's green so first we'll gointo the settings right here and I'll show you right away if it was on Wi-Fiyou just click on network turn on Wi-Fi find your Wi-Fi and put in your passwordso hdmi cec shouldn't really have to worry about that if I turned it on I'mpretty sure it has something to do with using one remote to control your TV andyour box but I've never done that myself so it's gonna leave that off right thereand my mouse might jump around like this a little bit just because it's not on aproper mouse pad so I don't have any nerve issues in my hand or anything sothe sound right here is turned off by default for the Box I just like to turnit on wha double clicked it there just liketo turn it on just because if something happens in the Box I just like to hearabout it if it's got an alert or anything like that go in the apps theapps that are already installed are all these right here got TV Center which youcan see right down here that's that's actually Kodi why they call a TV CenterI'm not sure but we'll look into that in a little bitit's got YouTube it's got Netflix got the MX player to play videos and it's gotGoogle Chrome so you might want to update that it's at56 it's in the 70s right now for the version not sure how much better that isI've got it to run fine like that but for some things I think you do have toupdate it let's just go back in so the system apps don't worry about any ofthese right here don't change them or modify them just leave them the way theyare screen saver nothing set up yet so it says after blank of inactivity so youcould choose it 5 minutes 15 minutes 30 minutes an hour 2 hoursI'll just leave that I never put it on never put it to sleep either but you canif you want and the screen saver can be a clock can be colors turn off thescreen photo frame photos don't want to test that right now so in display it'sset up to automatically detect the screen resolution so this TV I'm onright here is 1080p I don't have a 4k TV if it was 4k it would most likely dothat it's got the color depth right here it's pretty high in colors soeverything's good right there I don't have to change that screen position soI'm gonna want to zoom out it's always zoomed in to 100% so if I keep zoomingout you can see there's more and more of the screenI zoom out too far I'm gonna get these black borders here so I'm gonna zoom in Ithink on here 92% is good on your TV it's gonna be different 100%might work but that's the option if you want to change it status bar right herethis is important so you want to turn it on then you get this bottom bar righthere like a phone or a tablet so if I click on the square right here I can seewhat's still open so I've got TV Center open for some reason but that's just tomake sure that all the apps are closed like say you've got a whole bunch ofapps on here you're playing games watching movies watching TV you exit outof one of the apps it's still probably running in the background so that's away to stop them and save on resources if you find that things are getting slowdon't want to mess with the screen rotation I don't think you can change itbecause it's on a TV that's more setup for phones and tablets storage and resetso you can see it is 16 gigabytes and if I wanted to do a factory reset it wouldjust wipe everything probably takes five minutes to do don't need to do that butif you have issues with your box down the road that's the place to go to wipeeverything go to about you can see it is the M8S Pro W I don't need a restart gotversion 7.1.
2 and it looks like it's the latest one so July24th 2018 for the kernel and the build so that's fine date and time we're gonnachange that I don't like the 24-hour clock so we're gonna change it to off Iwhat to say 12-hour but it's just off time zone I need Eastern Standard Time forwhere I am and there you go as you can see it's 10 o'clock language I don'tneed to change that because it's right here it's got a lot of differentlanguage options so that's pretty good if you speak a different languagekeyboard I'm not gonna mess with that don't need to powerkey definition so onyour remote that comes with the box the power button right now you press it itshuts it down you can set it sleep if you want or to restart but let's leaveit as shutdown I don't really use the remote that comes with it I always buyor get or use a mouse or a wireless mouse it's so much easier that's why I'mdoing this demonstration right now with the mouse accessibility don't worryabout any of that more settings it's just a different screen to show off allthis like different settings and change things you don't even need to worryabout that you see his backup and reset date and time about the box security andrestrictions so definitely want to verify an appleave that on and leave on unknown sources so you don't have to geteverything from the Play Store and you can add an account if you don't add yourGoogle account I don't don't really need to so those are all the settings rightthere so with this screen right here I'm gonnaclick on add app and say I just wanted YouTube right there now YouTube'sthere you all across the screen right here and to get rid of one you're gonnahave to use the remote highlight it press the menu button and then just getrid of it or you can change it with something else the clock right there soit's pretty easy to do just get rid of it here then we'll go into TV Center which as Isaid is Kodi why they have it set up like this again I don't knowthere's no apps on it pretty sure it's version 17.

6 itdoesn't really matter I mean you can install version 18 that's thelatest one out right now shows that there is 2 gigs of RAM that's usinghalf a gig and it's got the four CPUs right here shows that I'm using 1080resolution on the TV right here and that it's Android 7.

2so let's all the information there and I'll just exit out don't need to spendmore time in here so Explorer it's the file system file browser so you can goon a local disk I'll just plug in my USB if I go back take a moment and itrecognizes it right there so on here I've got all my apks that I would wantto put on so the way I set it up is all the different information what versionof Android it'll work on all that not going to install these right now you cansee all these ones for TV I'll save that for another video to show what the bestapps are and it's not just my opinion those are the best apps and I'll showyou right here Google Chrome so instead of going to Google Chrome or its shortcut you can justclick on Google right here and you can type in different stuff surf the webapps right here that's where all the apps are TV Center right therethere's another TV Center that's the one that's installed this is if you have toinstall it looks like it was already installed and you get your selectionright here all right so that's everything for the M8S Pro W I justwanted to make a video to show you all the different minor settings that youcan change just to set up everything so it's ready to go for when you want toinstall your own apps so thanks for watching and I'll see you in anothervideo.
